Hi BRFplus experts,
I'm in the process of collection of rules and cleansing. Now looking at the volume and the type of data I might come with 15 to 20 decision tables and each table might contain 2000 to 3000 records roughly.
Now I'm in the process of setting up the governance process for the changes to rules. I have few doubts regarding the same:
- What is the best approach for changing the rules in production? Is it through transport from Dev to QA to Prod? or directly change in production?
Since it is my first project in BRFplus, I'm not sure how to make decision on this.
- There is one standard function import from excel file data into decision table. Every time I upload file, I need to have complete data(all records)
instead of delta records which I need to change,delete or create. If this is the case every time I create a new record or change existing record, do I need to test all the scenario's related to all rows/records since it is a complete new upload?
For my user every time they change decision table, they don't change one or two records. They will insert/update or delete in bulk may be 30 to 50 at a time. So, I'm not sure if I can use this functionality or is it possible to enhance the standard to upload only the delta records through brfplus import?
What is the common approach to maintain the rules in production?
