COGS update in FI and COPA

Dear forum,

I have a question that have puzzled me for awhile, so I am asking for Your advise.

We are using the customer service module, and we have a force of technicians who work for customers. Time registration, revenue and cost are posted with reference to service orders and settled to COPA. If a service technician is posting e.g. his hotel expenses to the service order the hotel expenses will be settled to COPA as cost. This makes perfectly good sense as these cost can be matched with the billing of the customer. What puzzles me is that these cost is original posted on an hotel expense account. In our financial statement version this account is classified as capacity cost.

This means that in FI the posting is classified as capacity cost and in COPA it is classified as COGS.

When the service order is settled to COPA no FI document is created as the CO object just shift from the internal order to the profitability segment.

Preferably this should also be considered COGS in FI as well, but how to make that work?

Sincerely hope You can help me out here.

Best regards,

Kim
