We are purely project base industry. We are preparing bill of material for all the finished /semifinished goods. We use WBS BOM (CS71) and take MRP run with MD51 for particular WBS element. Our BOM is having thousands of items and are subject to change 2-3 times for additions of items.
When after taking MRP run with MD51, I change BOM and take MRP run again, sytem changes PR numbers of materials in repsect of which i have not made any changes. Even if I take MRP run for two times immediately without changing BOM, 50% of number of purchase requisitions are changed. I use MRP control parameters 1-1-3-2 and do not tick "Also plan changed components.
Plz suggest what to do. If PR number of material in respect of which changes are made in BOM are changed, it is acceptable.
But PR number changed for material for which I have not made changes is not acceptable.
Surprisingly this is problem is not if I take MRP run with MD02 but same cannot be preferred for our type of industy.
